It appears that William Chapman Mudge was married 4 times.
On January 25 1871 when Will was 21 he married
Elizabeth Tapley in Brantford. The witnesses where Edwin Keefer and Annie Parker. They were marred for 13 years and had lived on a farm in Mt. Vernon, Ontario when Elizabeth died the 27th Octber 1884.
Four months later, Will married Elveretta Sturgis on February 25 1885 in Manhatten, New York, USA. Will was 35 and Elvereta was 27 at that time. Will and Elvereta lived in Peterborough and Guelph Ontario.
They were married 32 years until Elveretta died in 1917 on the 13th of May.
When Will was 70 he married Bella Reid, their wedding was June 25 1920 in Toronto.
Bella died 5 months later on the 8th of December 1920 in Hamilton Ontario.
Half a year later, when Will was 71 he married Ellen Badeau in Hamilton. They married on
September 21 1921 and Ellen died in 1927 on August 1st, 5 years later.
Will lived for an additional 5 years as a widower until he died in the home for the aged in Hamilton on the 11th of March 1932 at the age of 82.
