It appears that Garrafraxa and Eramosa were a part of Gore District in Upper Canada until 1840 when Canada West was formed and the districts were redrawn, Gore shrunk and Wellington was established.
I believe that the counties were re-ajusted agian when the province of Ontario was formed.
So, I think that the Loree land grants are in the locations whare the families were farming, they did not move, the political boundries and district names changed.
