John William Halliburton was born April 26th 1869 in Garstang, Lancashire, England the son of William Halliburton and Mary Crozier.
John married Sarah Ann Russell in 1893, Sarah passed away in 1899 after the birth of their 3rd child.
In 1905 John married Mary Clapperton, Mary had one daughter, Hannah Temple from a previous marriage. John and Mary had 6 more children together, three born in England and three born in Canada.
John and Mary immigrated from England to Canada in 1911.
John was industrious and a hard worker, he passed his work ethic down to his sons, together they built J. Halliburton and Sons into a family enterprise that fed them all for many years.
John passed away in 1943 at age 73.
